After graduating from JHS in 1973 I left the area for several years. During this absence I taught in Florida at a boot camp for juveniles, at Lee County Public Schools in Florida, and even taught in Grove for a few years. After returning to my home town I started the ISI program for Jay. I then began teaching U.S. History, Civics, and Oklahoma History. I have now been teaching here at JHS for the last 17 years. I LOVE it and LOVE our little community.
I am married to Lyndall Woods who is also a teacher here at Jay High School. I have 3 married children and 6 grandchildren. We both graduated from Jay in 1973 and are forever Bulldogs.
My husband, Lyndall, and I love spending time with our children and grandchildren. In our spare time we raise show cattle and help the grandkids show livestock. All the grandchildren are athletic and keep us busy going to athletic events. Unfortunately they are all Ridgys. We have a hardwood flooring business to supplement our income. Needless to say we are very busy.
