I started teaching at Jay High School in the fall of 1997.
Currently, I am teaching all levels of high school English, Oklahoma history and civics for the special education department.
I will be teaching the credit recovery class for summer 2019.
I am currently vice president of JPACT, the local professional association of classroom teachers.
Previously I taught at McDonald County in Anderson, Missouri during the 1995/1996 school year.
Before I started teaching, I worked many years for a real estate newspaper called Guffey's Journal.
I am married with a son, Fletcher Gross, from a previous marriage. Fletcher got involved with Theater Tulsa, and now my favorite hobby is making costumes for many of their shows. It has been a great way to stay in touch with my adult son and his wife. My husband and I love cats and always have a large variety in our home. We specialize in strays that somehow find their way to our door. We are members of First Baptist Church where my husband plays bass guitar and I play piano for worship services.
During free time, I like to visit museums and National Parks. I also enjoy reading, sewing, and going to the theater.
